The Cascade Room now serving lunch (for the first time ever!)

Main Street’s Cascade Room has recently added lunch for the first time menu, and that means Mount Pleasant has a chill new spot for a British-inspired midday meal.

Created by Executive Chef Tim Evans (a Brit himself), the Cascade Room’s new lunch offerings runs the gamut from a Full English Breakfast to hearty entrees (with a few light bites and gastropub grub selections in between.

Fitting perfectly with the pub vibe, diners can chow down on Cascade’s Bourbon Apple Glazed Chicken Wings or a rich Mushroom Poutine. Salads and sandwiches make the best of seasonal produce and big bold flavours, from the Grilled Halloumi Salad to the Roast Beef Sandwich served with pesto and horseradish aioli.

There are plenty of vegetarian options, including the Mushroom and Hazelnut Tart, which is also the menu’s Mealshare item (for every one of these sold, Mealshare will provide a meal to someone in need).

Served from 11 am to 3 pm, lunch at the Cascade Room can also involve sipping on craft beers on tap, wines by the glass, or cocktails.

There are a couple of dessert offerings for those with a sweet tooth; keep an eye out for specials on the menu that showcase what’s in season, like a recent dessert special Eton Mess, made with Pimm’s soaked berries and mini meringues.
