The Bay Vancouver's renovation brings a bit of the past into the future

The new awnings/canopy’s have been installed at the downtown Vancouver Hudson’s Bay location. These are a drastic improvement over was there before as they are much more historic in their look and feel. This and the addition of the new lighting at night has done wonders to rejuvenate this historic building.

Very similar to the building’s original canopy as seen in this  1918 photograph, from the the Vancouver archives:
