This authentic Italian food and wine tour is coming to Vancouver next month

Stone-baked pizza, hand-rolled pasta, melt-in-your-mouth cheese, Caprese salad with juicy tomatoes, Sangiovese wine; there’s nothing quite like Italian food.

Sure, we have plenty of Italian-Canadian restaurants (and we love them dearly), but there hasn’t been an opportunity to taste true Italian food in Vancouver – until now.

Interested? Well, on Wednesday, May 9, the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada-West (ICCCW) is hosting The Authentic Italian Table, a bespoke evening of wine, aperitivi, and a buffet selection of authentic Italian products that will be flown in especially for the occasion!

That’s right, you don’t need to book a flight to Rome to experience the essence of Italy’s finest food and drinks because they’re coming to you in Vancouver at this exclusive event.

Mandated and supported by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, this Vancouver event is one of nine city stops that will include Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, New York, Toronto, Montreal, and Mexico City.

And the ICCCW is collaborating with Italian food manufacturers and consortium as well as local importers, retailers, chefs, and restaurants, to make this special event happen.

Confirmed participants in Vancouver include; Pastificio Granoro, Consorzio Piave cheese DOP, Prosciutto di Norcia IGP, Olio Chianti Dop, Campari, and Bibo Pizzeria.

Since Italian food is re-interpreted and reconstructed around the world, you may have gone your entire life without actually eating authentic Italian food prepared with traditional techniques and approved ingredients. (Weird, right?)

That’s why The Authentic Italian Table is set to bring back pure flavours, celebrating certified Italian ingredients to bring you the extraordinary taste of traditional dishes.
