"Who parks like this?" Bad Cybertruck park job in Vancouver draws confusion and ridicule

Dec 13 2024, 11:27 pm

The epidemic of bad park jobs by Tesla Cybertrucks has officially spread to Vancouver.

A photo taken on Friday afternoon shows one of the aluminum-grey electric trucks completely on the sidewalk near Granville Island.

This comes just days after a Cybertruck was spotted on a pedestrian walkway in Edmonton, causing derision from passersby.

According to the BC Motor Vehicle Act, “A driver must not drive on a sidewalk, walkway or boulevard, except when entering or leaving a driveway or lane or when entering or leaving land adjacent to a highway, or by permission granted under a bylaw.”

The City of Vancouver’s driving bylaws are similar. They tell drivers not to stop or park on sidewalks or sidewalk crossings.

One commenter on the photo of the sidewalk park job simply read, “Ew.”

Another person replied, “You can’t park there, sir.”

This isn’t the only recent vehicle incident in Metro Vancouver that caused chaos on the sidewalks.

In a video shared to a Facebook driving group, which Daily Hive obtained permission to use, a car decides to turn on the sidewalk and stop in front of a business.

Are you a fan of the Cybertrucks? Have you ever seen a parking job quite like this? Let us know in the comments.
