The 10th annual Vancouver Tattoo and Culture show has made its return to the city.

The three-day celebration is an oasis for tattoo lovers across the lower mainland. Visitors will be able to meet some of the most talented artists in the city.

It’s the perfect opportunity to meet a number of different skin painters in one place and see their style, artwork, and you just get inspired for your next tattoo.

One of the highlights of the event returning for another year include the daily tattoo contests. Participants are encouraged to join every day, as a number of awards will be given out for the best category. The only condition is that the artwork must be tattoed on by an artist attending the 2018 festival.

Some of the categories include the best flash, line work, lettering, realism, old school, Japanese, portrait, and floral, to name a few. There will also be contests judging tattoos based on body position: arm sleeves, back pieces, leg sleeves, and chest tattoos. There is also a grand prize for the best tattoo in of the entire show.

The event will also feature giveaways and live music including the Vancouver Okinawa Taiko Drummers, Chinese lion dancers, hula hoop performances, and aerial performer Karley Cottrell.

The event is being held from Friday, April 20 to Sunday, April 22, 2018, at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Tickets can be purchased at the door and start at $20 for a day pass.
