Canadian pop-rock icons Tegan and Sara have announced additional West Coast headline dates this September, leading into existing dates with The Black Keys, as well as appearances at Austin City Limits, Corona Capital Festival in Mexico City and Harmony By The Bay in Mountain View, CA. The run will now include a stop in Vancouver.
The critically lauded duo has recently completed their new album with producers Greg Kurstin (The Shins, Lily Allen, Sia), Mike Elizondo (Regina Spektor, Mastodon, Rilo Kiley), and Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Neon Trees, M83, Moving Units). Release dates and details will be announced soon.
Fans have been kept in the loop on their recording process via their web series Tegan and Sara’s Carpool Confessional, a weekly video show filmed from the back of their car and featuring a wide variety of special guests and musical collaborators. Additional behind the scenes coverage was captured by photographer Lindsey Byrnes, and rolled out by Rolling Stone in a weekly photo journal.
Tegan and Sara have also recently appeared on two tracks by Grammy-nominated Morgan Page, whose new album In The Air, includes the single “Body Work,” which they also star in the video for. The track went gold in Canada earlier this summer.
