Teenage boy in Surrey shot in the leg, taken to hospital

The Surrey RCMP are appealing to the public after a teenage boy was shot in the leg by one of two men who approached him last night.

At around 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, the 17-year-old was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after the shooting in the 12400 block of 100 Avenue in Surrey.

Officers canvassed the neighbourhood and spoke to a number of witnesses to obtain more information.

The suspects are described as both being caucasian, 5’10”, between the ages of 17-22, wearing dark clothing and covering their faces with scarves.
