Dec 19 2017, 1:09 pm

TEDxVancouver announced some of the speakers for this years conference and the line-up so far is absolutely amazing. You will be able to hear (and mingle with) some brilliant and inspiring figures from different walks of life. There is only one week left to apply to attend this event so head on over to their site and send in your application.

The speakers announced so far are

Shahrzad Rafati

Entrepreneur, founder of BroadbandTV, co-founder of Chopra Yoga Center and the only Canadian honoured on Fast Company’s 2011 list of the Top 100 Most Creative People in Business.

Sean Aiken

Creator of The One Week Job Project – an inspiring journey across North America in which he worked 52 jobs in 52 weeks to find his passion (started of as Bungee Operator in week 1 and finished as a Mayor of Port Moody in week 52!)

Nolan Watson

Nolan became the youngest CFO of a multi-billion dollar market capitalization company listed on the New York Stock Exchange at 26!!! That same year he founded Nations Cry – a Canadian charitable organization focused on providing world class education to underprivileged children in Africa.

Lieutenant-General Roméo Dallaire

Senator, humanitarian, author and retired general who tried to stop the genocide in Rwanda where he was the Force Commander of the UN peacekeeping force. Nick Nolte’s character in the movie Hotel Rwanda is based on him.

As you can see – the first 4 (and there will be more) are worth the attempt to attend the event – and if that is not enough the first entertainer announced for the conference is Vancouver’s own Billy The Kid
