TEDxVancouver has announced another three speakers to make presentations at their November 14 event at Rogers Arena.

This will be the largest TEDxVancouver conference in history after moving to the much larger venue from the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in previous years. Just last week, organizers added another six names to the docket and now have included three more.

Dan Eisenhardt

Co-founder of smart eyewear pioneer Recon Instruments, he brought the first consumer heads-up display to market in 2010. In 2015, Recon was acquired by Intel. Today, as an executive in Intel’s New Devices Group, Dan continues to lead the Recon team and to play a pivotal role in the evolution of wearable technology.

Scott Jones

Among Canada’s most unique TV personalities, the EP Daily host and digital media thought leader was busy living a healthy, active life when a one-in-a-million medical nightmare changed his world. After a long and arduous road to recovery, his focus shifted not to the adventures that remained undone, but instead, to the things in life that he could live without. His story offers a candid view on how to get more out of life by doing less.

Jackie Huba

A bio-queen with the drag persona of Lady Trinity, author Jackie Huba has found through in-depth interviews and real life experiences that the process that drag queens use to transform into bold female personas for the stage also works to shape the personas we “perform” every day.

The three join nine other speakers, including:

  • Esther Honig
  • Matthew Williams
  • Dan Sutton
  • Garth Webb
  • Lara Boyd
  • Janet Moore and Duane Elverum
  • Marina Adshade
  • John Herdman
  • Chin Injeti

More speakers are expected to be announced as the event approaches. Full bios on each presenter are available on the website.

Event tickets priced at $99 are now on sale to the general public and can be purchased online on the TEDxVancouver website.
