"Tarantino Burlesque" brings the Grindhouse back to burlesque in Vancouver
This Friday, January 10, 2014 Tarantino Burlesque showcases at the Vancouver FanClub. This dynamic show includes nine burlesque acts that will captivate your imagination. These inspired acts capture the range of Tarantino movies from Pulp Fiction to Death Proof. The talented Blue Morris Band will accompany all nine acts; featuring the incredible Red Heartbreaker on vocals. This is not a show to be missed!
“Anyone who is a fan of Tarantino is going to love this show. Anyone who is a fan of cool music from the 1960s and 1970s is going to have a ball,” said producer Blue Morris. “I’m thrilled to work with Voodoo Pixie as our choreographer for the show. She’s a big Tarantino fan and knows his films’ inside-out.”
You can look forward to some famous scenes from the movies to be re-imagined on stage by host and local artistic director Fairlith Harvey, producer of the popular show “A Nude Hope.”
“I’m excited about this show (Tarantino Burlesque) because it’s a little different for us. It’s a much darker theme than we’re used to; especially when compared with Beatles Burlesque and Dirty Dancing Burlesque. It’s giving us a lot of opportunity to explore another side of burlesque. And the music from Tarantino soundtracks is truly killer.”
