New Tacofino Oasis opens with a fresh look and a kick ass menu (PHOTOS)

It may be located in the bustling and busy financial district in Vancouver, but the new soon-to-be-open Tacofino restaurant – which they’re dubbing Tacofino Oasis – is a total paradise for those looking for some relaxation and good grub in the concrete jungle of downtown.

The newest addition to the Tacofino family of trucks and restaurants is almost ready for its grand opening next week on on Wednesday, August 30, and we couldn’t be more excited to share the offerings that you’re in for once you sit down in one of the mid-century Mexican-inspired stools or chairs.

Located at 1050 West Pender Street in the Bentall One building, the 1,350-sq.-ft. counter-service eatery boasts a 30-seat dining room and a stellar 10-seat patio – a patio which is a serious hidden gem, in our opinion.

Open from 11 am to 7 pm from Monday to Friday, this location will serve as a lunch and happy hour hot spot for those that work in the area.

Chef Stefan Hartmann is new to the Tacofino family, but he told Daily Hive he’s excited about all the new additions on the Oasis menu, most of which are completely unavailable at the other locations.

This, Hartmann said, made it exciting to perfect dishes such as Duck Carnitas, Pork Belly, Cauliflower and Beet, and Crispy Chicken Burritos, Duck Tacos, Crispy Octopus, Beef Tamales, and drool-worthy desserts like Upside Down Cheesecake and Crispy Pancake.

Considering where this new Tacofino is located, it’s no surprise that certain things have been implemented to maximize the efficiency of the quick lunchtime burrito runs. At Oasis there are two express burritos (Beef and Bean & Cheese) that you can grab right away without waiting for prep.

Also, you can bet your bottom dollar that this location will have a happy hour service in the coming weeks, which will be available daily after 3 pm.

While the newest addition to the Tacofino family of restaurants isn’t officially open just yet, you may be lucky enough to find the doors open and serving select items starting today…
