Tacofino Gastown closes after employee tests positive for coronavirus

An employee who works at Tacofino’s Gastown location has tested positive for COVID-19, the family of restaurants announced on Tuesday evening.

In the statement, Tacofino said the employee worked solely at the 15 W Cordova Street restaurant and that the individual was “recovering well” and self-isolating at home.⠀

Tacofino said while Vancouver Coastal Health has not “deemed there to be any risk to the public” they have chosen to voluntarily close this location until the space has undergone deep sanitation.
