There is a systemwide failure on the SkyTrain system this evening rush hour resulting in no train service between Edmonds and Waterfront stations.
According to TransLink, a “technical issue” is causing the disruption – trains have timed out along the line. Trains are only running between Edmonds and King George stations and on the Millennium Line from Columbia to VCC-Clark stations.
Passengers are reminded to stay inside trains for their own safety and to prevent further delays.
.@nagoyajon Please stay inside the train. Exiting could be dangerous to yourself and will cause much further delays ^BK

The transportation authority says its crews are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
At this time, there are no details on the cause of the disruption. There is also no timeline for when train service could be restored, but a bus bridge between Edmonds and Waterfront stations has been set-up.
Commuters are advised to make alternate travel plans as significant delays are expected on public transit this evening.
Buses and the Canada Line are experiencing a surge in customers, resulting in long lines and crowds.
UPDATE at 6:35 p.m. – There are reports that some passengers in some trains have opened doors and walked on the tracks, in effect delaying the process to restore the system.
A total of 19 trains came to a stop on the system. As of this moment, 17 trains have been manually driven to the stations and evacuated.
TransLink anticipates normal train service will resume before 7 p.m.
UPDATE at 6:50 p.m. – TransLink says regular train service is now resuming, although there may be slight delays until the schedule returns to normal. The disruption began just after 4 p.m. this afternoon.
