Fashion Fix - Swimwear 2012

Ah the season of bums, booze and babes! I recently got back from a trip to Vegas and I must admit, the girls there got their swimwear game on lock! From fringe, to animal print, no trend was left untouched. It literally felt like a swimwear fashion show. So with the summer season fast approaching (and when I say fast, I mean it’s almost non-existent), I thought it’d be appropriate to put together some must have suits of the season.

One piece:

Norma Kamali Halter neck / Clube Bossa plunge neck / Mara Hoffman beaded shoulder Ah, the one piece is making a come back and it doesn’t look like its going anywhere any time soon. For the tummy conscious (like myself), these pieces are ideal as they provide major coverage (thanks to ruching). Plus these are timeless, you can wear them for years to come. You’d definitely be channeling Marilyn Monroe in that second number, meow!

Gucci bikini / Michael Kors asymmetric one-shoulder tankini / Michael Kors bandeau bikini. Nothing looks more delicious on sun kissed skin than a crisp white bathing suit. Clean, simple, and very hot.

YSL high-waisted bandeau bikini / H&M bikini  / Norma Kamali halter bikini. Pair these retro babies with a big floppy hat, a (dirty) martini and a hot cabana boy to complete the look. I love how retro suits are in this season, nothing sexier than a lady being a lady!

L Space fringe bikini / Gucci crystal embellished swimsuit / Victoria Secret bikini. I saw L Space bikini everywhere in Vegas and I’m not gon’ lie, I became an instant fan. Something about doing a little dance to get the fringe flopping is really cute! Plus, the design was created to elongate your torso. Sounds like a win to me! And don’t get me started on that gucci ensemble, DIVINE.

Simple string bikinis will never go out of style, but if you’re ever looking to step outside the box and try something new, you now know where to go. Now the only things missing are 30+ degree weather and some cabana boys. I’m taking applications for the second one.
