When the craving for sushi calls, there’s one restaurant in New Westminster that comes to mind: Sushi Well. Located on 6th Street in the heart of Western Canada’s oldest city, the restaurant offers delicious and inventive Japanese dishes.
A vegan-friendly sushi bar, Sushi Well is a labour of love between the co-founders, Ian and Jenny. The pair observed their community of sushi lovers and recognized the need for great-tasting fresh fish with additional nutritional benefits.
Eager to help create a healthier food system, they serve up certified-organic and vitamin-packed pink rice at Sushi Well instead of plain white rice. The restaurant is currently the only Japanese eatery with this unique recipe, which is infused with organic fruits and vegetables.
Also on the takeout menu are soups and salads, crispy tempura, nigiri and sashimi, sushi combos, katsu, donburi, bento boxes, and a selection of special rolls.
Sushi Well won the “Best Sushi” A-List award in New West for two consecutive years. The restaurant has partnered for delivery with Skip the Dishes, Uber Eats, and DoorDash.
