
Police are investigating an early morning stabbing in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood that left one man in serious condition.
According to Surrey RCMP, the incident happened just after 4 a.m. in the area of 103rd Avenue and 128th Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a male with several stab wounds in his upper body. He was rushed to hospital for treatment.
Witnesses told police that a male suspect fled the scene before police arrived. However, the suspect was located and arrested without incident shortly by patrol units.
“The investigation is continuing at present,” read a statement by police. “Witnesses are being interviewed, and a neighbourhood canvas is being conducted.”

This incident follows another stabbing in Metro Vancouver just one hour earlier. A man was stabbed at the intersection of Seymour and Dunsmuir streets in downtown Vancouver.
