Police investigating 'sudden death' in Newton home

Police have begun a “sudden death investigation” after locating a deceased woman in a Newton home.

Surrey RCMP first received a report on Sunday, July 7, at approximately 7 am, calling for help at a residence in the 13600-blocks of 60 Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers found a deceased woman located inside the home.

Members of both the Surrey RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit and the BC Coroner’s Service have launched an investigation, although the cause of death is not yet known.

It’s also undetermined whether the death is a result of criminal activity or not.
