The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team have arrested a man in connection with the murder of 53-year-old Julie Paskall.

Police have arrested a man and no other information is available at this time.

Paskall was viciously attacked outside Surrey’s Newton Arena on December 29 while picking up her son who had been officiating a hockey game. She died in hospital on December 31, on New Year’s Eve, leaving a husband and three children behind.

Her homicide marked Surrey’s 25th murder of 2013 and sparked a major public safety outcry.
