Police are currently investigating a suspicious act of vandalism at Surrey-Cloverdale MLA Stephanie Cadieux’s office.

The male suspect – whose identity is not known at this time – used a rock to crack the glass front door at Cadieux’s office early Wednesday morning at approximately 8:50 am, Cpl. Scotty Schumann, Media Relations Officer for Surrey RCMP, told Daily Hive in an email statement.

“He was described as a Caucasian male, slim, approximately 30 years old, wearing dark clothing with a zip up hoodie,” said Schumann.

Schumann said the man fled prior to police arriving and has not yet been identified. Currently the man’s motive is unknown and the investigation remains open.

Police are asking residents – or any witnesses – with information to come forward.
