Police investigating after man shot in the head in Surrey

Surrey RCMP is investigating, after a man was shot in the head during the early-morning hours of Monday, August 12.

According to police, the incident took place at 1:50 am, when police responded to reports of gunfire in the 10600-block of King George Boulevard, in the city’s Whalley neighbourhood.

Upon their arrival on the scene, officers found a man suffering from a head injury that was determined to be a result of the gunfire.

He was taken to hospital, treated for his injuries, and later released.

Now, RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit is investigating the incident, and at this stage, believe the incident to be targeted.
