A Surrey landlord has been arrested, but is not currently facing any approved charges, after wild interactions between her and tenants were shared on a public Instagram account.
The Instagram account tiwanafarmservivor has been sharing videos of interactions in the Surrey home for about a week, with one of the more recent videos showing the landlord getting arrested.
In the video, we see a woman, the landlord, surrounded by members of the Surrey Police Service, who knock at her door. They chat with her for a couple of minutes before eventually putting her in handcuffs.
We contacted the Surrey Police Service, which isn’t sharing too many details at the time.
However, police did tell Daily Hive Urbanized that the videos that were shared online are “part of what was an ongoing landlord — tenant civil dispute.”
Surrey Police said that the dispute has required their attendance on several occasions, with calls made by both the landlord and tenants.
One of the more recent videos alleged that the landlord had cut the power off to the tenants.

The caption on the video states:
“I’m a single mom of two, and I kept getting called down for asking to have our power turned back on. We weren’t asking for anything extra — just electricity.”
Another video alleges that a “guy” was brought in to intimidate tenants and threatened to throw a tenant out.
“He claimed he bought the farm but wouldn’t give me his name,” the Instagram post stated.
Other videos depict alleged assault.

“An arrest was made on one occasion,” Surrey Police said.
“The landlord’s arrest is part of an ongoing investigation where there have not been any approved charges,” it added.
No more information is being shared by the Surrey Police Service at this time.
The situation has gone viral. Videos shared on the Instagram account have racked up over a million views. The Instagram account tiwanafarmservivor has over 60,000 followers. The situation even made its way over to the InterestingAsF**k subreddit, with nearly 3,000 comments reacting to the video.
