Now in its 12th year, Surrey Fusion Festival is returning to Holland Park this summer over July 20 and 21, for two entire days.
And yes, admission is FREE for all!
Surrey Fusion Festival is Western Canada’s largest multicultural event, hosting over 100,000 people in the ultimate celebration of food, music, and culture. The event features 55 cultural pavilions with food from all around the world, seven stages, and over 200 performers.
This year’s theme “Something Sweet”, focuses on the food element of the festival, where all food pavilions are encouraged to offer at least one cultural dessert dish.
The Cooking Stage, sponsored by Dished, will feature live cooking demonstrations of desserts and other dishes. Learn culinary tips from top restaurant chefs from Surrey and Vancouver-based restaurants.
Attendees can learn about Indigenous food and culture in the Indigenous Village, where traditional bannock tacos and various desserts including bannock cinnamon sugar fritters and bannock blueberry crumble will be served. The Indigenous Village will also feature an Indigenous Market, alongside workshops, crafts, and activities for all ages.
Other attractions at the festival will include a kids zone, local vendors, and the new Celebrate Africa zone, featuring food and drink from the Democratic Republic of Congo pavilion, along with music, dance, and cultural arts from the diverse expressions of Africa
To celebrate the diversity of foods around the world, we are giving one Daily Hive reader $100 worth of food tickets when they arrive at the Surrey Fusion Festival.
