Surrey RCMP are appealing to the public to find the vehicle involved in a pedestrian hit and run that left a 57-year-old woman dead on Monday.

Police believe the vehicle they’re looking for is a grey 2010 or 2011 Honda CRV and would likely have significant damage to the front end. Investigators have gathered a significant amount of evidence thus far.

Corporal Scotty Schumann says they’re appealing to anyone who may have information about the vehicle that may have been involved in Monday’s crash.

“If you are the driver involved, or know who this person is, we ask you to do the right thing and contact our investigators immediately,” he says in a statement.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage in the area to try and further the investigation.

This is the second pedestrian fatality of the year in Surrey and six out of the seven serious injury car crashes in the city have involved pedestrians.

Anyone with more information about this collision is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.solvecrime.ca.
