Bed & Breakfast

What: Surrey Civic Theatres presents Bed & Breakfast by Arts Club Theatre Company. Two actors portray dozens of amusing characters in what is described by Arts Club as “a heartfelt comedy about ‘being out.'”

Museum After Dark

What: Experience a unique adult-only evening at the Museum of Surrey themed around the newest feature exhibit, Being: Punjabi. Guests will go on a guided tour of the exhibit with the museum curator, and then check out the artifact collection in the museum vault. There will also be an artist talk with Punjabi artist Mandeep Wirk, Punjabi appetizers, Bhangra performances, and free henna applications. Ticket includes one complimentary glass of wine. Ages 19+ are welcome.

2nd Annual Spooktacular Halloween Market

What: The Spooktacular Halloween Market features many activities for the whole family, including 30 handmade artisans, zombie cafe, face painting, Harry Potter Bounce Castle, and more. Attendees will get to meet Jasmine and Aladdin from 11 am to 12 noon, Captain Marvel from 12 to 1 pm, as well as Groot and other characters throughout the event.

Surrey Art Gallery Exhibition Tour

BC Genealogical Society Open House

What: British Columbia Genealogical Society and Walter Draycott Memorial Library and Resources welcomes the public, genealogists, and family history researchers to their open house. The BCGS Library has 20,000 books, around 10,000 journals and many online reference tools to help people research their family history. BCGS members will be there to answer any questions visitors may have.

Birding Walks in Surrey Parks

What: A local naturalist leads a birding walk through a Surrey park where you can see the various birds of the city. Learn about Surrey’s diverse habitats while exploring the park.

Walks are drop-in and will happen rain or shine, though may be cancelled due to high winds or extreme weather conditions. Wear appropriate footwear and clothing, and bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them. Binoculars will be available to borrow as well.

Classic Scary Movie Marathon

What: Historic Stewart Farm presents a marathon of vintage scary movies on October 25. Films include The Bewitched Inn, filmed in 1899, and feature film Dracula from 1931.

Halloween in the Forest

What: Surrey Nature Centre hosts Halloween in the Forest, where families and little ones can learn bats, spiders, owls, and raccoons from the Forest Fairy. Attendees can pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch (while supplies last), get Halloween treats and enter to win the costume prize draw.

Boo-seum
