Supermoon 2013 Over Vancouver on June 23

Dec 19 2017, 7:45 am

This Sunday, June 23, 2013 the supermoon will be in full effect. This happens when a full moon reaches the closest possible point to Earth. The best time to capture the moon will be around 4 a.m that morning. That is of course if it’s a clear morning in Vancouver.

The supermoon, also known as the perigee moon, occurs when a full moon lines up with the Earth and the sun at a specific point in its orbit. Since it’s closer to us, the moon appears up to 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than usual.
