Treat Dad this Father's Day to an improv show full of Dad jokes (CONTEST)

We know you’re responsible for that bald spot on Dad’s head, okay? And we know you’re the cause of his headaches and the cause of his mid-life crisis. (Okay, maybe the mid-life crisis is your sibling’s fault.)

We think you really ought to treat the old man to a few laughs this Father’s Day – and we know a super way to do it. We also know winning is pretty super, keep reading to find out how you can surprise your Dad, and get some brownie points at the same time.

Join Vancouver TheatreSports (VTS) on Sunday, June 16, for The SuperDad Show. This annual Father’s Day show is the perfect way to spoil your Dad. VTS’ ensemble will poke fun at all things Dad, and you can bet every Dad will be able to relate. By the way, this show starts at 2 pm, so you can still take him to dinner afterward, or fire up that barbeque he loves so much. VTS’ Neil Macrae Bar and Lounge will be open at 1 pm, so you can even enjoy a pre-show drink with Pops.

Tickets are only $25 and include the show plus a glass of our House Wine or Beer on Tap or a non-alcoholic beverage (FYI, you can even take your drinks into the theatre to enjoy during the show).

Based on audience suggestions, VTS’ improvisers will come up with scenes and explore themes such as  ‘two-Dad families,’ ‘Dads and their love affair with the barbecue,’ ‘hockey Dads,’ ‘Dad, can I have the keys to the car?’ or ‘Dads and daughters’ – and who knows? Maybe your Dad will end up on stage (sorry, you can’t volunteer him, but if he wants to go onstage himself there is a chance)!
