Good news Supergirl fans! Season 2 of the superhero drama series has been green lit – and it’s moving to Vancouver!
Vancity Buzz confirmed the show’s move from Los Angeles to Vancouver with Warner Bros. on Thursday.
The change comes as the show moves from CBS to sister network The CW, which already produces spandex-clad shows like The Flash and Arrow in Vancouver.
As expected, the fandom lit up on Thursday as news broke of the changes.
Although there was initial concern that Calista Flockhart wouldn’t be re-joining the cast led by Melissa Benoist, it seems she has agreed to the filming north of the border.
Here’s just some of the reaction so far:
Vancouver just became my number one place to want to visit! Come celebrate #SupergirlSeason2 with us https://t.co/Oepw8FM47t

Some pondered the effect it will have on the look of the show…
#Supergirl I’ll be surprised if Calista will want to move to Vancouver from L.A. Still cool news, #sixseasonsandamovie

I wonder if Supergirl shooting in Los Angeles adds to the brightness the show exudes compared to Arrow and Flash’s darker Vancouver. — Morgan Ellis (@mc_ellis) April 28, 2016
National City will look eerily similar to Vancouver next season I guess. #Supergirl
