Sunday Musings: Quickie

Dec 19 2017, 11:58 am

When you read that title you probably thought something else didn’t you? No, I’m not referring to one of our writers *cough* Money J Skeets lack of skills in the bedroom, no siree bob. What I’m referring to is the fact that this will be a quick musings (which many of you will applaud) as I’m going to head out for a quick skate at Robson Square and then I am going to head and secure some a great view for the Santa Claus Parade.
Speaking of Robson Square, I must say I’m thoroughly impressed at how lively and vibrant it has become. I guess I was a little quick to dismiss this public square on the simple fact that it was below street level. However, I was not alone on its dismissal either. Moreover, I believe that planting those tiny little shrubs instead of those huge hedges has really helped  pedestrians because they are now able to take a glance as to what is going on below street level. Long live the square, or at least until the public rink is functional.

Let us now move on to another newly built ice surface, the Richmond Olympic Oval. It looks as though this little gem has produced the greatest buzz thus far, as Stephen Colbert and his satirical team of comedians will be coming to Vancouver for the Olympics, yep it has been confirmed. VANOC is probably wetting themselves over this kind of publicity. We’ll keep you up to date on this matter. Perhaps he’ll race Shane Foxman now?

I’m out, see you all at the parade.
