Suburban Spotlight: Burnaby Village Museum

Dec 19 2017, 11:40 am

Today the Suburban Spotlight is on Burnaby Village Museum. Located at 6501 Deer Lake Ave., this gem transports people back to the year 1920 and lets them experience life in the roaring 20’s.

Visitors are greeted by staff dressed in the fashions of the 20’s. In addition they are invited in to homes, businesses, and shops.  For those looking for a change of a career, like Money J  Skeets, the museum presents classes on blacksmithing. Along with classes on blacksmithing, visitors are also able to attend conservation workshops, genealogical workshops, and walking tours.
This unique experience is on till September 1st, so don’t wait as the end is near. The crew at Vancity Buzz occasionally drops in at the Museum. Of course the town mayor is the Suburban Don with the town drunk played by the Schwab. For great family fun, do not miss out on this attraction.
