Promising brightest colours and top notch tattooing, Steveston Tattoo Company is thrilled to have taken root in the historic fishing village of Steveston. Prior to opening the shop this last December, business owner Ryan Halter worked eight years alongside mentor John “The Dutchman” at Dutchman Tattoos in Burnaby. His drawing and painting has been a lifelong passion and his background in graphic design shines through in his commitment to delivering strong, clean, effective tattooing. Jesse Strong is also a lifelong tattoo enthusiast. Having completed his apprenticeship with Vinnie Ruocco at New World Tattoo in Surrey at the age of 20, he has flourished in his experience and strives to integrate his urban street art influence with the dynamic tattoos he creates. With classic hand painted signage, and a strong inclination towards the traditional and timeless, Steveston Tattoo Company feels right at home in their new neighbourhood. With the shop having opened it’s doors to the public only a few months ago, Mr Halter and right-hand man Jesse Strong have been welcomed with warm reception. The interior of the shop is vibrant and eclectic, with wall to wall collections of vintage artwork and antiquities from around the globe. Following all procedures required by Coastal Health to run a reputable and professional business, the shop is clean as a whistle with single use needles and gloves, and autoclave equipment for sterilization. With a combined clientele of long term tattoo collectors and first timers from all walks of life, Halter and Strong look forward to continuing to provide their colourful flare and artistry to all who step through their door.
