Has the Starbucks barista ever spelt your name wrong? In fact, does it happen to you often? It’s the ultimate first world problem.

Even if it is a common name, the baristas of the world’s largest coffee chain still manage to somehow decimate your name in a struggle over hearing and translating the phonetics that come straight out of your mouth.

Your name changes in midst of the noise over the baristas preparing your regular morning coffee fix or favourite cold drink. An “i” is replaced with a “y,” “o” in place of an “a,” and even a “g” in lieu of a “j.”
