Stanley Park is getting a giant new immersive attraction this fall
The fall events calendar in Vancouver is already starting to heat up, and we can now add the new Astra Lumina attraction, making its Canadian debut in Stanley Park, to the list.
Astra Lumina, an immersive celestial night walk created and presented by Moment Factory, is slated to open on Thursday, Oct. 22 for a limited time.
The self-guided outdoor night walk will feature giant light installations, massive projections, scenography, soundscapes and more in the urban park setting.

“Following its success across the United States, Australia, and Turkey, we are thrilled to bring Astra Lumina to Stanley Park for its Canadian debut,” said Jonathan St-Onge, executive director at Moment Factory Originals
“We invite guests to step into an enchanted night walk and experience the park’s magic in a new way, where the stars make a rare and luminous visit.”

Moment Factory is the creator of the Lumina Night Walk series, including Vallea Lumina in Whistler. Fever will be co-presenting the Stanley Park event this fall.
Guests will visit nine thematic zones on an illuminated pathway in the Stanley Park Railway area while listening to an original cosmic soundtrack.
Each chapter takes guests along the story of the stars as they come down to Earth before soaring back up to the night sky.

“Astra Lumina is designed to respond to the natural landscape in which it is presented,” added organizers in a statement.
“Stanley Park’s towering trees and surrounding West Coast landscape will help shape how the celestial journey unfolds.”
All ages are welcome to the Astra Lumina experience in Vancouver, which will last approximately 45 to 60 minutes. A selection of beverages and snacks will also be available for purchase.

Ticket prices start at $27 for adults and $22 for children, with free entry for those four years old and under.
Astra Lumina’s presale will open on Tuesday, Sept. 15, and timed-entry tickets will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, Sept. 16. A waitlist for tickets is also available online.
