Stabbing at Metrotown Mall entrance

Burnaby RCMP are investigating a stabbing that occurred just outside the entrance of Metrotown at Metropolis on Tuesday evening.

According to CTV News, the incident began at approximately 6:30 p.m. at the mall entrance on Kingsway, facing the outdoor parking lot, near the McDonald’s restaurant.

The cause of the altercation, which happened during the busy mall hours, is unclear. The entrance was closed off and taped by police yesterday evening.

A male victim was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, however, he is not cooperating with investigators.
