There has been an overnight stabbing at SkyTrain’s New Westminster Station.
According to CBC News, the incident occurred shortly after midnight at a station entrance just beyond the fare paid zone. There was a significant amount of blood at the scene of the crime.
The male victim was sent to hospital and is now in stable condition. Later on during the early morning hours, New Westminster Police tracked down and arrested four people in the municipality.
The SkyTrain station remains open, but the 8th Street entrance is currently cordoned off and closed to allow police to conduct their investigation. Passengers can still access the train station through the bus loop.
