Squamish Valley Music Festival nominated for Best Overseas Festival

The 2013 Squamish Valley Music Festival has been nominated for “Best Overseas Festival” at this year’s UK Festival Awards. Public voting for the awards is on now unti lNovember 1. Every voter will have the chance to be in a prize draw to win a “Dream Summer”, which includes a pair of tickets to every winning festival at this year’s awards. Squamish Valley Music Festival is excited to be nominated for this prestigious award, alongside other world renowned festivals including Lollapalooza (USA), Roskilde Festival (Denmark), and Montreaux Jazz Festival (Switzerland).

The 2013 Squamish Valley Music Festival, which ran over August 8 – 10, celebrated its most successful year to date with headlining performances by Queens of the Stone Age, Vampire Weekend, Macklemore with Ryan Lewis and over 50 other acts. Situated directly below Stawamus Chief in the heart of the Coast Mountain range, the festival offered fans a full weekend of music and entertainment in one of the world’s most picturesque settings.
