Spotted!: The Vancouver Fashion Week Gala

Dec 19 2017, 1:31 pm

So who attended the opening gala at Vancouver Fashion Week — and, what were they wearing?

March 20th, 2012 marked the first day of Vancouver Fashion Week for the Fall/Winter collection. So here’s an insider peep at who we found mingling around for the gala party in the Opus Hotel. And mind you, it was incredibly crowded, filled with a lot of good-looking people dressed to impress!

Of course, first and foremost are your excited VancityBuzz fashion bloggers! Looking good, are we?

And check out some other nicely clad ladies in the room tonight! Love those fierce dresses.

Check out these stylish sisters in blues and stripes!

Check out those awesome bags and leopard print blazer from JennyFleur Loves!

Hot in Pink and Red!

Even the awesome volunteers are looking really fabulous!

Don’t forget the fabulous photographers, too! They deserve some spotlight on the other side of the lens.

Check out these ladies wearing dresses from one of the featured designers, Shelley Klassen of Blushing Boutique. Now there’s a little runway preview!

And of course, here are some sharp-dressed gents’. Stylish suits never go out of fashion.

Some sponsors came dressed up for the gala as well! Here’s Aaron Ottho from the False Creek Healthcare Centre enjoying a night of fashion and socializing.

Some minor celebrities showed up as well. Do you recognize any of them?

Here’s singer and songwriter, Kristie Yung, dressed in lovely floral white.

Here we also have Miss Canada 2011, Tara Teng, and Mister Canada, Ron Wear, with performing artist, Marika. What a trio!

And on the other side of gala is free-lance makeup-artist and local talent, Kerryn Cooper, and actor/model, Charles Nesbitt.

I also met a fellow blogger and fashion stylist, Nicolette Lang-Andersen. Loving that blue-green blazer!

Even some designers came along with their personal designs and models to show off!

Here’s Mackenzie Jones and Danielle Cameron showing off one of their designs. And yes, those are real flowers on the dress.

And here’s Bano eeMee showing off his awesome designs! I am in love with those jackets and blazers. ‘Looking forward to seeing his stuff on the runway!

Whew! What a night! And yet, Vancouver Fashion Week is just getting started. So exciting!

Tell me, which designer are you excited to see on the runway?

Until next time,
