Trump Tunes: Spotify creates playlist for Americans moving to Canada

Dec 20 2017, 5:21 am

It seems like every four years panicked Americans threaten to move to Canada in the event that the country’s presidential election fails to go their way.

First it was Bush, then came Obama. And now, nervous Americans are stocking up on travel documents like survivalists hoarding tinned goods in the event that Donald Trump is somehow named the country’s next Commander-in-Chief.

Indeed, our friends south of the border are so concerned about the reality TV star, steak magnate, and self-styled business mogul’s campaign; that 28% of them have threatened to move to Canada in the event of a Trump victory.

To help them along their way Spotify has released a playlist to aid in their transition to our home and native land. Entitled “Moving up to Canada” the 30-track playlist, which was originally released on March 28, features handpicked hits like Flo Rida’s “My House” and Cold War Kids’ “Miracle Mile.” The playlist also features a smattering of tracks from Canadian stars including Justin Bieber’s “Sorry,” The Weeknd’s “In The Night,” and Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Run Away With Me.”
