Man killed in South Vancouver in city's third homicide of 2017

Vancouver Police’s Major Crime Section is investigating the city’s third homicide of the year after an incident in South Vancouver overnight on Wednesday.

Just after midnight, police say, they were called to a home near Prince Albert Street and East 49th Avenue, where they found an injured man.

The man was rushed to hospital, but succumbed to his injuries and died a short time later. Police did not specify what his injuries were.

At this point, no arrests have been made, but detectives say the general public is not at risk.

The investigation continues.
