A popular jerky brand has issued a recall of some of its products due to mould.
On Monday, April 13, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) shared a recall notice of Soo brand’s Mala Spicy Flavoured Beef Jerky and Pork Jerky due to “mould.”
The recall impacts several different-sized packs of jerky sold across Alberta and B.C., but is listed as “non-harmful.”

According to the Soo brand’s website, its products are sold in a variety of stores, including Costco, Walmart, London Drugs, T&T, Save on Foods, and Amazon.
Anyone who may have purchased jerky included in the recall is advised not to use, serve, or distribute it.
