In the world of social media, you have to be on the cutting edge. Thankfully, events like #SocialMediaYVR at Brainstation can teach you how to sharpen your blade.
Bringing together industry leading professionals from organizations across Vancouver, including Vancity Buzz’s own Editor-in-Chief Farhan Mohamed, #SocialMediaYVR features a panel discussion on the role of social media in the modern world, what it can mean to businesses, individuals, and organizations, and where it will take us in the future.
“Digital marketing – and especially social media – is constantly changing on what are best practices, having the experts in a forum to engaging with questions creates a great educational conversation,” BrainStation Vancouver GM Kyle Treleaven told Vancity Buzz. “Not just for the experts themselves to communicate what are some of the best practices, but also for the audience to engage, learn, and be in a environment where they can ask questions to an industry that always seems to be changing.”
Taking place at the BrainStation Vancouver’s 6,000-square-foot headquarters in Yaletown, attendees are given the opportunity to mingle and network with Vancouver’s leaders and up-and-comers.
In the spirit of friendly competition, there will be a live social media feed battle between #SocialMediaYVR and the sister event in Toronto. The team with the most engagement, whether on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or any other social media channel, will get 15% off any part-time BrainStation course.
