Seriously - this philanthropic society is giving away more than $25,000

Financial demands discourage us when we’re applying for college, but our real problem is that we’re not claiming scholarship money we’re qualified for – because we don’t know about it.

So what if you knew that a philanthropic society is giving out more than $25,000 in scholarships to high schoolers, and that if you apply, you could win some of it?

SOAR (success, opportunity, achievement, results) is offering just this in the form of scholarship funds for tons of categories including academics, adversity, athletics, community engagement, culinary arts, entrepreneurship and innovation, health and mindfulness, leadership, skilled trades, social justice and law along with visual and performing arts.

So chances are that you fall into at least one of these categories.

Applying is easy – you just need to make sure you do so before June 30, 2017, or else you’ll miss out. Applicants must currently be enrolled in high school.

If that doesn’t already make you excited then you’ll be happy to know that on May 27, 2017, SOAR will also hold their annual SOAR Summit Conference at Simon Fraser University. It will include a series of workshops for local high school students and you can register for it online.
