Snowy Village Dessert Cafe: Icy delights and fish-shaped cakes at new Robson Street outpost (PHOTOS)
Dessert lovers take note, Richmond’s insanely popular Snowy Village Dessert Cafe has opened the doors to a new location in downtown Vancouver.
Located at 1696 Robson Street, the trendy dessert shop offers a variety of Korean-inspired Bingsoo, a shaved milky ice dessert with sweet toppings, think fresh mango chunks, Oreo crumbs, red bean, Injeolmi (rice cake), and cheese cake.
While these whopping desserts come in a copper cup at the Richmond locale, the Robson Street store serves these Instragram-friendly treats in an easy-to-hold, plastic to-go cup.
Come the summer, Snowy Village Dessert Cafe plans to offer a limited edition honeydew melon variety, which will be presented in a hollowed out honey dew melon half.
Taiyaki, a fish shaped cake (think a croissant, waffle, pancake hybrid) filled with either Nutella, custard, red bean paste, or sweet potato is also available.
In terms of layout and design the recently opened Robson Street locale boasts a similar set up and colour scheme to the original Richmond location. A clutter-free space offers inside seating for around 20 people, but will eventually have seats for 40.
