A quick heads up for those of you planning to head to Whistler over the weekend…

Environment Canada has just issued a snowfall warning with up to 15 cm of the white stuff expected to hit the Sea-to-Sky Highway on Friday night.

“A frontal system is approaching BC from the southwest and will begin to spread snow over Whistler and the Sea to Sky – Squamish to Whistler – Highway tonight,” Environment Canada warns.

The snow will initially be mixed with rain, but as the evening wears on, it is expected to get heavier with up to 15 cm expected before the weather eases on Saturday morning.

The rapidly accumulating snow is expected to make travel difficult, so stay safe out there.
