Sneaker Freak: Vancouver’s premier sneaker convention returns

Dec 19 2017, 10:56 pm

Sneaker Freak, Vancouver’s premier sneaker convention, is back and will once again take place at Heritage Hall on 3102 Main Street in Vancouver.

This event fosters an environment where sneaker collectors and enthusiasts can buy, sell or trade their footwear.

Last year, the show saw over 350 people attend, and the organizers have set a new bar for attracting an even larger audience. New for 2015, the show will introduce even lower admission and vendor prices. Admission tickets will be $5 pre-sale and $8 at the door. And once again, Kandy Space will be onsite spinning old school tracks to boost the sneakerhead atmosphere.

“I have been collecting sneakers for the last 20 years, and have been watching the industry change and grow recent years,” said Gem Baysan, founder of Sneaker Freak. “Sneaker collecting used to be a niche, and in the past few years there has been a boom in the hobby. Sneaker Freak is a great opportunity for sneakerheads, both old and new, to socialize and network with each other. It’s been very exciting to bring the sneaker community together through this show.”

Sneaker Freak will showcase a variety of exhibits where shoe collectors can sell or trade their merchandise to the public.
