Smirnoff Ice products recalled due to glass contamination

Dec 20 2017, 1:17 am

The BC Liquor Distribution Branch has recalled several kinds of Smirnoff Ice products for what they’re saying could be possible glass contamination.

Smirnoff’s supplier Diageo Canada voluntarily recalled the products because they might contain small shards of glass. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency advised people to avoid drinking the products as well through a public food recall warning.

The following products have been recalled in the province:

  • Smirnoff Ice 12-pack, 330ml bottle, lot number L5210
  • Smirnoff Ice Cranberry and Lime, 4-pack, 330ml bottle, lot number L5206
  • Smirnoff Ice Peach Bellini, 4-pack, 330ml bottle, lot number L5231

You can receive a full refund by returning them to the place that you bought them from.

A range of Smirnoff products are being recalled in other parts of Canada. For a full list of every product being recalled, read the Canada Food Inspection Agency’s list.
