Small business spotlight: Treat your dog with goodies from Jasper's Pet Supply

May 14 2020, 2:19 pm

As a dog owner, you’ve got two choices: feed your dog treats with over 25 ingredients and a few preservatives mixed in, or high-quality treats made from fresh ingredients.

Understanding that high-quality treats usually cost a pretty penny, Kyle Harms decided to start making his own and turned it into a business. That’s how Jasper’s Pet Supply — named after his dog Jasper who passed away last year — was born.

“I’ve been sitting on this idea for a while now… Our vision is to support pet parents with high quality, inexpensive dog treats, and products so they can feel good about what they’re giving their dogs while the dogs get a tasty treat,” Harms told Daily Hive.

Jasper’s Pet Supply currently offers three flavors of dog treats — pumpkin, peanut butter, and sweet potato — which are all baked fresh daily.

If your dog can’t take gluten, be sure to mention this as you place your order as Jasper’s is able to whip up a batch of gluten-free treats just for your pup.

Each flavor is baked fresh to order with five ingredients or less and is available in bags of 80 to 250 treats. Bags start at $8.99 a pop and are on sale for buy-one-get-one 50% off until May 18.

Because they’re made without preservatives or artificial flavors, each bag of treats must be refrigerated and can last for up to two months.
