Vikram Vij to present at inaugural Local Leaders event

Dec 19 2017, 2:16 pm

Restaurant magnate, celebrity chef and CBC Dragon, Vikram Vij, will speak to over 200 BC entrepreneurs on April 2 at the first-ever Local Leaders monthly business mixer at Small Business BC in Vancouver.

The Local Leaders series will encourage the growth and development of local businesses by giving entrepreneurs an opportunity to network with and gain inspiration from the top CEOs and business leaders in the community, including the Dragon himself.

It’s rare for you to find a person in B.C. who has not heard of Vij or his restaurants, and with more than 20 years since starting his first restaurant, Vij is definitely a treat of a presenter for any ambitious go-getter.

During Vij’s exclusive presentation, he will discuss:

  • Developing a business plan around a personal mission statement
  • Overcoming challenges and obstacles to generate success
  • Best techniques to spread awareness of products and services to your target market
  • Serving up unforgettable customer experiences

“It’s always been my goal to bring great Indian food to Canada,” said Vij. “Now I want to educate people on food and how to become successful entrepreneurs who can make a positive impact in their communities. At Local Leaders, I hope to inspire others with my experiences and personal lessons.”

Enjoy beer courtesy of Granville Island Brewing who will be pre-launching Two Tides ISA, wine from Kalala Organic Estate Winery, appetizers from ManCakes Bakery, catering from Vij’s Rangoli, and networking with over 200 B.C. startups and entrepreneurs, and hear firsthand about the many ups and downs Vij faced on the road to success. And don’t forget to bring those those burning questions for their an interactive Q&A.
