Slow and steady wins the race? Not according to Grr Studios.

Turtle Speed is the debut release from Grr Studios, Vancouver, BC’s newest mobile gaming developer. Throwing convention out the window, the Grr Studios team, Grant Pang, Ronald Leung, and Rimo Yoo, strapped a rocket to the unsuspecting reptile.

“The three of us have a bizarre sense of humour and we want to illustrate that in the games we make,” Developer Grant Pang explains, “We thought it would be funny to strap an innocent turtle to a gigantic rocket. Our weird sense of humour is further demonstrated in the Easter eggs and surprises we’ve built in the game.”

This multi-level game tests player’s reflexes through dodging obstacles and collecting gems for rewards. Turtle Speed is currently available for the iPhone. Have an Andorid phone? Don’t fret, Turtle Speed is slowly making its way there too (sans rocket though).

About Grr Studios

The Grr Studios team, Grant Pang, Ronald Leung, and Rimo Yoo, have an extensive background in design, programming, and music composition. Combined with their own love of gaming, the trio decided that they needed to create a game themselves.

Starting small wasn’t an option for them, as Turtle Speed, the company’s debut game, is full of features like achievements, different levels, and Easter eggs.

“We currently have two more games in the works. We had so much fun creating Turtle Speed, especially the bonuses,” Pang reveals, “As we grow as a business, we want to push our limits and try new things. Turtle Speed is our first game, so our next ones will have better graphics and even more bonuses.”
