Say it ain’t so! For the second time in two years a fire has hit Slickity Jim’s Chan n’ Chew, a popular dining destination on Main Street. In 2009 Slickity Jim’s was destroyed along with five other business, at the time it was located at 2513 Main Street. A year and a bit later the owner, Zalman, reopened the popular neighbourhood eatery nine blocks south from it’s original location.
After 7 months of operating at the new spot, the restaurant was once again destroyed by fire. This time however, the fire damage wasn’t as severe and expect it to reopen within a month or so.
Talk about your string of bad luck. Or perhaps there is someone out there that really hates Slickity Jim’s? Perhaps we’ll never know. The cause of the fire is unknown at press time.
