UPDATED: SkyTrain service disruptions in downtown due to medical emergency

UPDATE at 8:45 pm: Regular service is beginning to return.

UPDATE at 7:31 pm: Outbound trains (trains to King George Station or Production Way-University Station) are not stopping at Burrard Station’s eastbound platform until further notice.

Passengers traveling inbound towards Waterfront Station can still board trains at Burrard Station.

A shuttle train is operating between Waterfront Station and Main Street-Science World Station. All passengers taking the Expo Line in either direction must change trains at Main Street-Science World Station.

Expect heavy volumes and delays.

A shuttle bus bridge is also running between Waterfront Station and Main Street-Science World Station to handle extra crowds and pick-up passengers from Burrard Station.

Extra security staff and Transit Police officers have been deployed to ensure passenger safety and crowd control.

SkyTrain’s Expo Line is currently experiencing service disruptions in downtown Vancouver due to an ongoing medical emergency at Burrard Station.

TransLink says trains will still operate between Waterfront Station and Granville Station, but they will not be stopping at Burrard Station, which is closed until further notice. Passengers should expect delays.

A shuttle bus bridge service is in the process of being formed between the affected stations.

The disruptions began shortly before 7 pm. There is no estimated time for when regular service will resume.

The Millennium Line and Canada Line are unaffected.
